Well the heavens opened last night as Robin, Natalie and I set out on our outreach. It was unusually quiet and we had trouble finding some of the people we usually see but with some persistence we came across a few familiar faces.
When the rain is falling, keeping sleeping bags and the few possessions they have dry is very important so we handed one chap a new rucksack. He was also in need of underwear and trousers and as we carry these items with us

Last night was particularly quiet we saw about six people, had a natter and coffee and distributed the things they needed from the kind people who donate (thank you).
We've also been helping source and deliver a few household items for a lovely person who has recently been housed as they have next to nothing but the blessing of a safe roof over their head. The journey for these people and hardship doesn't stop once they leave the streets

Myself and Brian, volunteers with One Big Family and Sharon from MADM teamed up ready for another busy night with our homeless friends.
We started at arch bishop's palace where we saw half a dozen people, one of which is newly homeless so Sharon could offer details of MADM and the support they offer.

LONDON Wednesday was in the middle of last week's cold snap - the temperature had significantly dropped so we were once again loaded up with hats/gloves and handwarmers... just when we thought it was safe to pack them all away!
