Huddersfield outreach

June 13, 2017

Huddersfield was busy last night. Almost immediately we were confronted by a situation where a young man who is in a hostel had been beaten for his mobile phone. We saw to his eye injury and flagged down the police. His phone contains important information, key worker appointments, support numbers, without this he is in trouble.

We saw many of our homeless friends and some vulnerably housed, providing tea, coffee, snacks, socks, underwear and a chat. Talking is important and trust builds.

McDonalds in Huddersfield offer our outreach workers free drinks and we would like to thank them for this, it is much appreciated.

We are always looking for donations of jeans (small men's) and small/medium tops (men's) and toiletries/wipes. We can collect.

Thank you for reading and also your support x
