Medway soup kitchen Aug 2017

Medway... After getting DRENCHED last week, the weather was kind to us this week! Included in the food was a huge donation of fresh fruit (it filled a Fiat 500!) - Watermelon, and tropical fruit salad, plus jacket potatoes with delicious fillings, chicken pasta, curry, & cakes (including some left over from our funday) - all served with a smile! Chrissie was on hand with her scissors to tidy up unruly mops! A gentleman from Medway Council came to visit - not only was he astounded at the number of people in attendance, it was so busy, he ended up lending a hand! Our volunteers are always on hand to signpost, give advise or just have a chat - watching them "at work" is heartwarming - we are blessed with an amazing team. 😊😊😊❤❤ ... aside from a Sunday we are working with people on a daily basis, to help them in any way we can - materially, practically and emotionally - and we have some really positive things in the pipeline.... more soon..!!
