Medway Soup Kitchen

October 1, 2017

We are incredibly busy at the moment in Medway - our weekly Sunday Soup kitchen sees in excess of 75 people every week - THANK you to all our lovely volunteers who, rain or shine make it happen!! We do much more than just feed people - the soup kitchen allows people to approach us for further help - so during the week we help with accommodation, health appointments, form filling, and guidance.
We have also been able to supply lots of "Home Starter Packs" to the housed... (post on "items needed" to follow).
Plus, the last Sunday of each month, we are now joined by the DOTS (Dogs on the Streets) team - who provide essential vet care, training, grooming and advice to dog owners who are homeless or in temporary accommodation - please spread the word to anyone you think we can help.

Plans for the Homeless Emergency Winter Refuge are well underway, Liz will be managing this alongside Ken Rose from HALO - more info to follow...

At the end of October some of our volunteers will be attempting a 50km Walk to raise funds and awareness - they are walking from the location of our Victoria Soup Kitchen in London to our SOUP Kitchen in Chatham - with support from Davey Mac and his team from the Royal Navy... post on how to sponsor/support coming later today.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who supports us, without you we can't do what we do. ❤
