Winter Refuge

MEDWAY - WINTER is here... The Homeless Emergency Winter Refuge is open for at least 3 nights this week - each night we have 4 overnight volunteers, plus 2 people to welcome guests... our guests receive hot drinks, a light snack (thank you Debbie for the amazing homemade mince pies tonight), and has the opportunity to get a good wash - we have "foot baths" (aka washing up bowls), toiletries, new socks & underwear, plus clean warm clothing. Tonight we were joined by Lucy Davis who saw a range of ailments, and was able to dispense good advice. As I write this, it's 1.30am, our guests have been in bed for over an hour - all is quiet .

We have only been able to provide this facility because of YOUR donations and generosity ... we receive no "official funding", so rely on public support , please know, we are incredibly grateful ❤ Thank you
